Andaman and Nicobar Islands are a group of hundreds of islands located east of South India in the Bay of Bengal. Andaman and Nicobar are two groups of islands separated by 100 N parallel (or 100 Channel). Andaman Sea lies east of Islands that separate this group of islands from Myanmar (Burma); and, Thailand and Indonesia is located south of the islands.
Andaman and Nicobar Islands is a Union Territory of India and governed by a governor under the direct guidance of central government of India. The capital and largest town Port Blair is located on the Andaman Island.
